Senior Financial Advisor
Sue began her career in the financial services industry in 1985 and has spent the past 40 years developing a niche for managing the financial lives of affluent individuals and their families. She strives to serve as one of her clients’ most trusted advisors, providing them with the level of personalized advice, guidance and support they need to succeed.
Prior to establishing her own wealth management practice in 2019, Sue was a Senior Financial Advisor at Merrill Lynch, and she held executive positions as both a Market President for Harris Private Bank, a division of Bank of Montreal, and a Senior Vice President at Barnett Bank/Bank of America. Her expansive professional background includes corporate and personal banking, trust and estate administration, investment management, charitable planning and financial strategy development.
Sue earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Connecticut in 1985. Although she does not provide tax advice in her role at Warren Capital Management, Sue has earned the designation of Certified Public Accountant (CPA). She holds Series 7, Series 66 and Health, Life and Variable Annuities licenses. Sue has also completed graduate and continuing education work in the fields of accounting and financial strategies.
Sue has made Vero Beach, Florida, her home since 1986, where community service has played a pivotal role in her personal life. She has been a chairman and board member of several of the area’s most distinguished non-profit organizations, including the United Way of Indian River County, VNA and Hospice of the Treasure Coast, Impact 100, Indian River Community Foundation, Indian River Golf Foundation, and the Center for Memory and Movement. She is the former president of the Treasure Coast Chapter of the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and she previously served as a member of both the Planned Giving Council of Indian River County and the Estate Planning Council of Indian River County.

A Florida native, Carter joined Warren Capital in 2025, pursuing his passion for investment research, analysis, and management. With a Bachelor of Accounting degree from the Florida Institute of Technology, he is currently pursuing his Masters in Accounting and Finance, and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) candidate. His post graduate studies in tax, planning, and investment research provide a strong basis for his role in the delivery of individually tailored financial solutions for our clients. Carter most recently served our country honorably in the United States Air Force as a Tactical Response Force Assaulter, earning the Air Achievement Medal and status as a Precision Shooter. He resides in Vero Beach, and enjoys hunting, fishing, shooting, and spending time with his family.
Senior Client Relationship Manager
With over 40 years of experience in the field of financial services, Barb began her professional career in 1985 at Barnett Bank in Vero Beach, Florida. She has since held a variety of roles across the sectors of personal banking, trust and investment management, residential real estate, and executive administrative servicing for market presidents, executive vice presidents and wealth managers.
In 1999, Barb joined Sue Tompkins to launch Harris Private Bank, a division of Bank of Montreal, in Vero Beach. She earned her Graduate Trust School certification while at Harris and served as the branch’s Senior Trust Administration Assistant for nearly a decade before relocating to her home state of New Jersey. Barb returned to Vero Beach shortly before rejoining Sue in 2019 as a Senior Client Relationship Manager at Warren Capital Management. Since then, she has skillfully directed the operation of our practice and become the friendly, familiar voice that so many clients look forward to hearing each time they call.
Barb’s favorite days are spent on the water, boating along the Indian River with her husband, Mike, and looking forward to another visit from their two grandchildren.
Senior Client Relationship Manager
A Vero Beach native, John joined Warren Capital Management in 2024 following a stint in national politics in Washington, D.C. He holds a dual Bachelor of Arts degree in American Politics and Journalism from Washington and Lee University, and he has used his background in writing, research and current affairs to supply economic analysis and manage strategic communications for our practice. John’s favorite aspect of his role centers around cultivating and maintaining personal relationships with our clients, many of whom he has known for decades. He is also interested in pursuing his professional qualifications for further work in the financial and securities industries.
When out of the office, John is eagerly awaiting his next adventure around the globe, and he has served as a trusted travel advisor to his family and friends since the age of 10. At the turn of 2027, he will celebrate having visited all seven continents by reigning in the New Year in Melbourne, Australia.
