Managing Partner
Chris is a Managing Partner at Shore to Summit Wealth Management. He is the financial advisor in charge of our Melbourne office, heads up our business development efforts nationwide and is a critical member of the leadership team. Chris has 24 years of experience in the financial services industry. Prior to joining Shore to Summit, he was an executive for Janus Henderson Investors, a leading asset management firm. During his time at JHI, Chris worked with thousands of financial advisors and their clients, helping facilitate positive outcomes for their investment portfolios. He earned the Certified Investment Management Analyst, CIMA® designation through Wharton Business school and holds a bachelor’s degree from Worcester State College.
Before coming into the financial services industry, Chris was active duty for eight years in the United States Marine Corps. He served as an Infantry Officer, Reconnaissance Platoon Commander and Company Officer at the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland. He obtained the rank of Major.
Chris's dedication to service extends beyond his professional life. He co-founded, sits on the board and is currently the president of QG Community Charities, a nonprofit organization that supports local Baltimore charities as well as charitable organizations that assist our veterans.
Alongside his professional achievements and community involvement, Chris takes pride in his role as a husband to his wife, Denyele, and a father to their five children, Zach, Jake, Julia, Natalie, and Audrey. Outside of the office, Chris embraces his passion for endurance sports and has completed an impressive 13 Ironman distance triathlons, including the World Championships in Hawaii. As an avid boater and waterman, Chris is extremely excited for the opportunity to grow Shore to Summit Wealth Management’s presence on the Florida Space Coast.
Managing Director
John has been helping his clients achieve their financial goals for 30 years. His management skills are notable for the close business relationship he maintains with his clients and the high degree of personal attention each client receives.
Before joining Shore to Summit Wealth Management, John was previously the owner operator of Gideon Wealth Management and also worked at Merrill Lynch. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Florida Atlantic University and holds the Fundamental Choice Portfolio Manager designation.
John has been a resident of Annapolis for virtually all his life. He has two daughters and four grandsons. Outside of work, John enjoys reading, spending time strengthening relationships with family and close friends, biking, resistance training, tutoring math, and playing chess. He was also an avid baseball player into his 50’s.

Heather began her career in banking, and later transitioned to the investment industry. She brings over 9 years of experience to the team and has dedicated that time to making sure clients have the highest quality service experience. She is a registered representative holding her FINRA Series 7 securities registration, and currently working on becoming fully licensed.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Central Florida. Her strengths include providing financial support and cultivating lasting client relationships. Heather takes pride in her Client First attitude and strives to always provide high-value service. Being raised in a small rural town, Heather has seen firsthand the impact finances have on a person’s quality of life. This motivates her to connect with clients and help them achieve their life goals.
When Heather is not assisting clients, she spends her free time offshore fishing, golfing and tinkering in the garage with her Corvette.
Registered Client Relationship Manager
James jumpstarted his career in the financial industry in 2020, where he worked for Merrill Edge. While at Merrill, he held various roles including Financial Service Representative, Investment Consultant, and most recently, a Financial Advisor. Joining the Shore to Summit WM team in the spring of 2023, James is dedicated to serving our clients, and assisting them to achieve the financial lifestyle they are looking for. By gathering financial information needed to complete the investment planning process, James will work diligently to help you achieve your goals, in and out of retirement. James also holds his FINRA Series 7 and Series 66 securities registrations.
With a passion for all things math, and a brain always calculating, James graduated with a degree in Mathematical Economics from High Point University. He currently resides in Melbourne, Florida. In his free time, James can be found getting creative in the kitchen, whipping up delicious recipes. He also loves to travel, and is an active sports lover.
