Benjamin D. Spiker, CFP®, CRPC®

Ben co-founded Shore to Summit Wealth Management in 2017 after a successful career with Merrill Lynch. Ben has more than 20 years of experience helping financial services clients achieve their goals. He earned his bachelor’s degree from St. Mary’s College of Maryland and earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification from the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. Ben also holds the Chartered Retirement Planning CounselorSM designation. He was recognized as a Five Star Wealth Manager* every year from 2017-2020, as featured in Baltimore Magazine and The Wall Street Journal.
Ben, his wife Brittany, and their children, Aidan, Rylan, and Annabelle, live in Severna Park, Maryland. Ben enjoys boating, reading, coaching his kids’ teams, and being active with his family. He is also the Vice President of Ghanaian Mothers’ Hope, Inc. and is passionately committed to helping them empower the future leaders of Africa through mission trips focused on education, health programs, and the construction of preschools and medical centers.

Michael E. Winter

Michael E. Winter, Associate Vice President, joined Shore to Summit Wealth Management in 2017 after beginning his career as a financial advisor with Merrill Lynch. He has worked with Scott Brown, CEO & Co-founder and Benjamin Spiker, COO & Co-founder, since 2014 and has been working in the financial services industry since 2012. Michael specializes in working with clients to plan and pursue a retirement designed to align with their desired lifestyle.
Michael has been recognized as a Five Star Wealth Manager* in 2021, 2022 and 2023. His favorite aspect of being a financial advisor is developing relationships with clients that allow him to understand not only the client’s goals, but also how their personal psychology affects their decision making. He also enjoys educating clients about different financial and economic concepts in ways that are meaningful to them.
He earned his bachelor’s and master’s degree from Salisbury University in Maryland, and currently resides in Gambrills, Maryland with his wife Emily and their son Jack. He enjoys staying active, and spending time with his family and friends. He is active in his community through coaching lacrosse and investing in the lives of the young players he coaches.

Dan Parnes

Dan Parnes affiliated with Shore to Summit in April of 2023 bringing 25 years of industry experience to the company. He enjoys getting to meet new clients and helping develop retirement strategies for both businesses and individuals. He takes pride in creating portfolio models that can be utilized for core and satellite portfolios as well as utilizing relative strength technical analysis, portfolio and risk management, objective asset allocation designed for the individual, options strategies, and insurance where appropriate.
An accomplished Hockey player and graduate from University of Maryland College Park, he has called the DC are home for 16 years. Dan enjoys the winter season, getting on the slopes whenever he can, and catching the Washington Capitals when they are in town.
Aiyanna Tyler

As our Senior Administrative Associate, Aiyanna has brought exceptional client service to Shore to Summit Wealth Management since 2017. She brings a depth of industry experience and has a great enthusiasm for working with clients. Aiyanna is a natural born leader on the Shore to Summit team and has worn many hats over the years. She genuinely enjoys helping our clients through all of life ’s ups and downs.
In her spare time, Aiyanna enjoys hanging with her children, spoiling her grandchild, doing craft projects, and party planning. She hopes to explore more European countries in the coming years.
Taffy Davies

As a Registered Client Relationship Specialist, Taffy works closely with Ben Spiker and Sherry Saucerman to assist clients with various servicing and operational needs. With seven years of financial industry experience, Taffy takes great pride in continuing her financial education to best serve our clients. Being on a smaller team lends itself to a high touch personal approach when servicing our clients, an aspect of the job Taffy thrives in.
Before joining Shore to Summit Wealth Management in 2022, Taffy worked at another financial planning practice, as well as in the non-profit industry. She has a bachelor’s degree in political science from UNC Charlotte and has earned her Series 7 registration.
Away from the office, Taffy enjoys spending time with her spouse and teenage son. She loves to travel and has hiked in many places in the United States, as well as in Switzerland and Peru. As a self-identifying “Anglophile,” she is fond of the United Kingdom and lived there for a year. Taffy regularly gives to World Central Kitchen and strongly supports its mission.
Ayaka Pincombe

Ayaka is a passionate and driven individual with a deep love for animal rescue and a sense of adventure through traveling. With a strong background in finance, she holds a Bachelor's of Business Administration from Texas A&M University, Corpus Christi, and has worked at esteemed financial institutions like Northwestern Mutual, Newcastle Financial Advisors, and Ameriprise Financial. Moreover, she possesses valuable experience in mortgage loan processing and bookkeeping. Her ultimate goal is to obtain financial licenses and is currently working towards the Series 7 license, she already holds a Life & Health Insurance license and is a Notary Public in Maryland. Born into a military family, she spent half her life living overseas before settling in Maryland. In her free time, Ayaka enjoys the company of her beloved pit bull, Oscar, and spending quality moments with friends while staying active.
